  • Wedding Planning Tips

    Getting engaged is an exciting time for any couple. There are many things to arrange, so here’s a helpful timeline to keep you organised from your engagement celebrations right up until your honeymoon.

    1. Announce your engagement to your family and friends
    2. Organise an engagement celebration, if you plan to have one
    3. Buy the engagement ring, if you haven’t already done so
    4. Decide on your wedding budget and style
    5. Decide on the wedding date
    6. Book your Reception venue and/or wedding ceremony venue
    7. If you’re going to be using a wedding planner, now is the time to find one
    8. Shop for a hair and makeup artist
    9. Choose your bridal party, best man, and groomsmen
    10. Shop for bridal and bridesmaid’s Dresses, and Grooms & Groomsmen attire
    11. Start shopping for Photography and/or Videography
    12. Start looking for wedding Stationery
    13. Look at and book wedding cars if necessary and book Transport
    14. Draft a rough a rough guest list
    15. Start thinking about where you want to go for your Honeymoon
    16. Book your photographer and/or a videographer
    17. Start shopping for and arranging catering (if required)
    18. Book and additional equipment or decorations needed
    19. Don’t forget Entertainment Music and DJs
    20. Make any necessary bookings for you honeymoon
    21. Book a Celebrant or appropriate person. They will advise you on the process for completing any documentation required.
    22. Order wedding stationery and send out Invitations 6-8 weeks before your big day
    23. Organise your Flowers
    24. Book in hair and make up for the bridal party and mothers of the bride and groom
    25. Book Accommodation for your wedding night
    26. Find a bridal registry if you are using one
    27. Organise Wedding Rings
    28. Look at wedding Cakes and order one
    29. Finalise the menu (including drinks) with the venue and/or caterer
    30. Create a guest seating plan
    31. Organise Bonbomiere, confetti, rose petals, and any other extras.
    32. Create a schedule of events for the wedding and give one to every person involved in the ceremony, MC, entertainment, speeches etc.
    33. Check your guest RSVP to finalise numbers
    34. Have your attendants organise a bridal shower, Hens and Bucks night, if you’re having them.
    35. Have a trial Hair Beauty and Makeup day
    36. Plan the Rehearsal Dinner
